Call for Applicants for Citrus FCN Board- Stakeholders with Lived Experience

The Citrus Family Care Network Committee (FCN Committee) of the Citrus Health Network Board of Directors is seeking motivated and engaged stakeholders with lived experience to make a meaningful impact on the Southern Region’s Child Welfare System of Care by serving on our FCN Committee.

Stakeholders with Lived Experience may include the following:

• Former foster youth
• Birth parents who successfully completed a service plan
• Foster parents
• Adoptive parents

Stakeholders with Lived Experience will have the following roles and responsibilities as members of the FCN Committee:

• Attend monthly meetings of the FCN Committee, and quarterly meetings of the Citrus Health Network Board of Directors when the FCN Committee provides its report. All meetings related to FCN business are held in the Sunshine via Zoom and are open to the public.

• Review and recommend to the full Board the FCN budget each year.

• Review and recommend to the full Board FCN’s operational policies and procedures on an ongoing basis.

• Participate and vote on matters related to FCN business.

Eligible applicants may NOT:

• Reside outside of Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties

• Be public elected officials

• Be employees of Citrus Health Network (including Citrus Family Care Network).

• Have contractual, business or financial ties to Citrus Health Network (including Citrus Family Care Network) or any suppliers (please note: Foster parent board rates or benefits and payments provided to transitioning youth are not considered contractual or business relationships).
